Looking back
Staff Sgt. David Shively, C-130 loadmaster, sits on the ramp of a C-130 Hercules as it taxis to a parking spot at Kabul International Airport, Afghanistan, Aug. 4. Sergeant Shively is deployed to the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is from the Tennessee Air National Guard. Hercules cargo aircraft deliver troops and supplies throughout Afghanistan in support of U.S. and Coalition Forces. The C-130 crews from the 774th EAS also conduct airdrops of supplies to units based throughout Afghanistan on a scale not seen since the Vietnam War. (US Air Force photo/Maj. David Kurle)
