Millions of Gallons of Gas for One Mission
Airman Jordan Cline, a 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels distribution operator, refuels a KC-135R Stratotanker with 2,000 gallons of JP-8 fuel from an R-11 fuel truck, June 10, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. Fuel distribution operators deliver fuel to aircraft around the clock everyday of the year to meet the ongoing demands of the mission. Airman Cline hails from Sacramento, Calif. and is deployed from Barksdale Air Force Base, La. in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
