119th AMU maintaining DV travels
Tech. Sgt. Darby Plath, an aircraft mechanic with the 119th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, positions an air conditioning duct to cool off the C-21 battery compartment prior to another mission, June 10, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The aircraft batteries are cooled prior to pilots stepping to the aircraft to ensure an expedient preflight. Sergeant Plath hails from Fargo, N.D. and is deployed from the North Dakota Air National Guard, in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
