Saving the day
Tech. Sgt. William Phillips, left, an aircraft structrual maintenance specialist, and Staff Sgt. Steven Tsaffarides, a metals technologist, mount a lighted "follow me" sign to a vehicle used to tow aircraft, called a tug. The two Airmen stepped up to assist the transient alert section and mounted the sign after the truck used to guide aircraft to parking spots at Bagram broke down. Parking aircraft is crucial at Bagram because of its limited ramp sapce. Up to 650 transient aircraft transit Bagram each month brining in vital supplies and people to support Operation Enduring Freedom. (US Air Force photo/Maj. David Kurle)
