Major Neil Horner, an optometrist with the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group, uses a slit-lamp to evaluate the ocular health of the outer eye on a patient, May 28, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The blue light works alongside a dye that allows Maj. Horner to see if there are any corneal abrasions. Maj. Horner is native to Castroville, Texas and deployed from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
