Senior Airman Travis Twigg, a 1st Expeditionary RED HORSE Group engineer technician, checks a range pole with reflector to ensure it will function properly, May 20, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The range pole is used to reflect a laser beam back to the geodimeter in order to survey elevations, angles, and distances on construction projects. The geodimeter will be sent on to RED HORSE Airmen for use in a forward deployed location in the U.S. Central Command's area of responsibility. Airman Twigg hails from Litchfield, Pa. and is deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D. in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
