Keeping transient personnel properly equipped

Staff Sgt. Michael Long, the non-commissioned officer in charge of the Issue Tent for the 379th Expeditionary Logistic Readiness Squadron, checks the block number of a kevlar helmet here, May 19, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. Sergeant Long and fellow mobility specialists assigned to the expeditionary theater distribution center issue all additional equipment required of Air Force personnel transiting through to other locations in the U.S. Central Command's area of responsibility. Sergeant Long is native to Dangerfield, Texas and is deployed out of Altus Air Force Base, Okla., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
