Reflection on a joint effort
BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan -- Army Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Schloesser, International Security Assistance Force Regional Commander East and senior leader at Bagram Air Field, thanks Master Sgt. Robert Ray and 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Airmen for their contributions during his tenure here. The two-star general, who plans to return home soon, recognized the efforts of Sergeant Ray, a C-130 communication and navigation system technician, and nine other Airmen, and presented them with his honorary military coin. The Airmen of the 455th AEW provide close air support and combat search and rescue capabilities for coalition ground troops in addition to aeromedical evacuations, perimeter defense and expertise in a variety of specialized jobs throughout the theater of operations.
