Med Techs Practice What They Preach

Staff Sgt. Javon Craig, Staff Sgt. Dalia Castillo, Senior Airman Ashley Ross, 379th Expeditionary Medical Group Medical Technicians (Med Techs), run through training on how to properly transport a patient from an ambulance to the emergency room using a gurney, May 6, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The med techs are first responders who provide basic medical care for patients by checking vitals and performing an initial assessment of their patients. Sergeant Castillo hails from Raymondville, Texas and is deployed from Travis Air Force Base, Calif. Airman Ross hails from Herman, Maine and is deployed from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Sergeant Craig hails from Newport News, Va. and is deployed from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss.
