Bagram stands up four new squadrons for Airmen on the front lines
Superintendents for the new units, stand in formation for the stand-up of four new squadrons in the 755th Air Expeditionary Group at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, May 1. Until about a century ago, guidons and colours were taken into battle as the distinguishing symbols and rallying points for fighting units. The word derives from the Italian guidone meaning 'guide' or 'marker'.(U.S. Air Force photo/ Senior Airman Erik Cardenas)(Released)
