Microwaves Heat Up Communications Throughout the AOR
Senior Airman Michael Peyton, 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron microwave communications technician, uses a voltmeter to check the signal strength and proper alignment of the microwave antenna, May 2, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The microwave communications technicians provide voice and data via microwave transmission and equipment for microwave units used throughout forward operating locations in the U.S. Central Command's Area of Responsibility. Airman Peyton hails from Copperas Cove, Texas and is deployed from Ramstein Air Base, Germany in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
