Dangerous Substances Around the Corner

Staff Sgt. Trevor Fettig and Senior Airman Carrie Gay, 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Readiness and Emergency Management Journeymen, wear protective Ty Chem suits during a unit mission readiness exercise, Mar. 27, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The Readiness and Emergency Management team uses a variety of specialized equipment when working with unknown and hazardous materials. Sergeant Fettig hails from Lompoc, Calif. and is deployed from Travis Air Force Base, Calif. Airman Gay hails from Sacramento, Calif. and is deployed from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan.
