Airmen, Soldiers set 'sites' on Afghanistan's future
Air Force Master Sgt. Todd Davis, from the Kapisa/Parwan Provincial Reconstruction Team civil engineer and pay agent, hands out pens to local children at a gravel crushing plant construction site near Mahmood Raqi, Afghanistan, March 14. More than a dozen Soldiers, Airmen and two civilian translators from the PRT at Bagram Air Field convoyed to several construction sites to monitor progress made by local contractors hired to improve local infrastructure. Sergeant Davis, who is deployed from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., spoke with the local foreman to see if there were any construction site problems or pay concerns with local workers. Sergeant Davis, a Troy, Ill.-native, is one of 24 Airmen assigned to the PRT filling joint expeditionary taskings. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Jason Lake)
