Fathers in the AOR
“Hopefully I’ll be able to talk to my family on video teleconference; otherwise, it’s gonna be tough. In a sense, I feel guilty leaving them there, especially over summer break. But I have to do my job. I enjoy being part of the military and the Air Force, and even though I’m deployed away from home, that’s part of it; they understand that’s what I have to do. Normally, on Father’s Day, we make a special breakfast and they give me a little happy card. It would make my day to know my boys are being good and not giving their mom a hard time.” -- Capt. Jerry Morris, deployed from Gunter Annex, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. Deploying to Baghdad for the first time; has two sons, ages 8 and 11.
