PANJSHIR PROVINCE, Afghanistan -- Ahmad Zia Massoud, Afghanistan's First Vice President and brother of famed Panjshir Martyr and Afghan national hero Ahmad Shah Massoud speaks to a crowd of more than 1,000 at a groundbreaking ceremony for the Barak to Khenj road in Barak, Bazarak District, Panjshir May 28. Massoud, as well as members of Parliament, local government, and the Panjshir Provincial Reconstruction Team spoke of the logistical and economic freedom the road will bring to the central reaches of the province.
