Repair and destroy
SOUTHWEST ASIA - Senior Airman Rochelle Boyer, 380th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, vehicle maintenance, uses a plasma cutter to dismantle a trailer, Feb 17. The trailer had reached its repair limits and is now being destroyed to ensure it can't be used again. At home stations the dismantling of "beyond repair" equipment is traditionally contracted out; but here the vehicle maintenance shop is responsible for ensuring the equipment cannot be used by local or third country forces. Airman Boyer is deployed from Spagdahlem AB, Germany and hails from Reno, Nev. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Brian J. Ellis) (Released)
