Senior Airman Michael Scarcelli, a Radio Satellite Communication technician with Detachment 1, 609th Aerospace Communications Squadron, performs a system check on the voice net server, Feb. 18, 2009 in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The voice net server is an interface which allows operators to communicate with the tactical satellite nets used for command and control in the U.S. Central Command's area of responsibility. Airman Scarcelli is native to Las Vegas, Nev. and is deployed from Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
