Providing Pilot Support
Master Sgt. David Emrich, the NCOIC for aircrew flight equipment with the 379th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron, performs a functional test on a PRC-112 Survival Radio, Feb. 10, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The test unit ensures different features on the radio are functioning optimally. The radio's features include a global positioning system which will pin-point the position of downed aircrew. Sergeant Emrich is native to Roy, Utah and deployed from Offutt Air Force Base, Neb. in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
