Tech. Sgt. Luke Schnittker, of the 55th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, preps a boom cover to go over one of the RC-135 Rivet Joint's antennas, Feb. 5, 2009, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The boom cover prevents foreign objects from damaging the antenna, which is used to indicate the aircraft's altitude while in flight. Sergeant Schnittker hails from Lompoc, Calif. and is deployed from Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
