One Stone At A Time

PANJSHIR, Afghanistan -- Capts. Jason M. Aftanas and Kenneth McGinnis, Panjshir Provincial Reconstruction Team engineers, prepare to set stones for the foundation of the Khenj District’s Justice Center during a ceremony April 1. The engineers placed the commemorative stones beside those laid by the District’s Chief Justice Mohammad Yousef Qata. The $220,000 building is expected to be complete in January 2009 and furthers one of the key tenets of the PRT mission -- governance. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Jillian Torango)
