Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Airman 1st Class Ingrid Tomayo, holds a stake in place while Airman 1st Class Seung Kim prepares to drive the stake into the ground to hold a frame in place Jan. 2, 2009, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Both Airmen are structural apprentices assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, and are securing the base of a California tent. These members are responsible for helping the base make the transition from expeditionary to enduring by creating new facilities. Airman Tomayo, a native of Los Angeles, Calif., and Airman Kim, a native of San Jose, Calif., both deployed from Travis Air Force Base, Calif.
