Refueling Air Refuelers
SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Airman 1st Class Richard Fails from the 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron monitors the rate of fuel going into a KC-10 Extender here. The average fuel transfer rate is 600 gallons per minute. The KC-10s out of the 380th provide fuel to different types of aircraft in the area of responsibility in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
