Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Captain Bonnie Tallarita, a flight nurse assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, attaches C-130 litter stanchions and litter straps as part of setting up for an air evacuation of injured personnel Dec. 29, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. These EAES members are responsible for evacuating injured personnel from the area of responsibility and providing medical assistance until they can be evacuated to a medical facility. Captain Tallarita, a native of New Richmond, Wis., is deployed from the Minnesota Air National Guard, in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
