Senior Airman Rose Mabe, chaplain assistant for the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, hands a bible to wounded warrior Chief Warrant Officer Marc Shelton Dec. 27, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Chaplain assistants increase the morale and support religious services for all deployed members. Airman Mabe, a native of Houston, Texas, is deployed from Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Chief Warrant Officer Shelton, a native of Detroit, Mich., is deployed from Camp Pendleton, Calif.
