Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Staff Sgt. Chad Roberts chains a barrier to a front-end loader controlled by Airman 1st Class Ryan Miller Dec. 16, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The barriers will be loaded on a flat-bed truck for transportation to the ECES compound where they will be used to construct an emergency bunker. Both Airmen are pavements maintenance technicians assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron. Sergeant Roberts, a native of Lancaster, Ohio, is deployed from Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Airman Miller, a native of Tulsa, Okla., is deployed from Grand Forks AFB, N.D.
