Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Capt. Daniela Lozano, a weapons systems officer assigned to the 34th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, powers up her system and proceeds through the weapons system pre-flight checklist on a B-1, Dec. 9, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. A pre-flight crew prepares the aircraft for flight in order to allow the crew actually flying to maximize their available flight time. Captain Lozano is a native of Dallas, Texas, and is deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.
