Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Staff Sgt. Ronald Gasper, a fuels lab technician assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, examines a hose and stopper used for filling a bottle with JP-8 fuel so he can perform a bottle method test of the fuel, Dec. 8, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The bottle method test is used to test a fuel truck's filter separator and measures the amount of impurities in the fuel. Sergeant Gasper, a native of Omaha, Neb., is deployed from Scott Air Force Base, Ill., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
