Qarghaii officially announced as ‘Peace District’

LAGHMAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan--Three Afghan boys from the Eshaq Ningal High School in Mehtar Lam sing a poem at a ceremony Feb. 12. The ceremony here was held to celebrate the province’s Qarghaii District being officially declared a "Peace District" by President Karzai's office. The official announcement was made Feb. 11 and the ceremony was held in the Mehtar Lam Sarag Garden and attended by more than 125 people. (Photo by Air Force Captain Heather Kekic)
