Texas schools send Valentines to Southwest Asia Airmen
SOUTHWEST ASIA -- A 379th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron member reads a Valentine from Merkel Elementary School students during a surprise "Be My Valentine" event Feb. 13. Students from Merkel, Ty, and Trent schools mailed more than 300 Valentines cards to the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing in support and appreciation of deployed servicemembers. Cards were distributed to Airmen deployed to the base as well as to wounded warriors at the base medical clinic. "By serving, you're doing a big act of love," one card read.
