Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Staff Sgt. Vince Billyk, crew chief assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, screws in fasteners on a gearbox panel of a B-1 Lancer, Nov. 24, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Carrying the largest payload of both guided and unguided weapons in the Air Force inventory, the multi-mission B-1 is the backbone of America's long-range bomber force. It can rapidly deliver massive quantities of precision and non-precision weapons against any adversary, anywhere in the Central Command area of responsibility. Sergeant Billyk is a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and is deployed from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
