Staff Sgt. Logan Ray, military working dog handler assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, gets apprehended by Lenox, a Belgian Malinous, while Staff Sgt. Edward Lawlor, 379 ESFS military working dog handler, prepares to release Lenox from his hold on the suspect at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia Nov. 4, 2008. These 379 ESFS dog handlers provide the first line of defense for the base by detecting explosives and weapons. Sergeant Ray, a native of Bethesda, Md., and Sergeant Lawlor, a native of Wolcott, Conn., both are deployed from Andrews Air Force Base, Md.
