Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Senior Airman Daniel Wright and Senior Airman Osealoa McNabb, both barrier maintenance journeymen assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, bleed the hydraulic system of an aircraft arresting system as part of a weekly inspection conducted Nov. 7, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. These barrier maintenance members are responsible for ensuring the AAS is operational and ready to save pilot and aircraft in the event of a brake failure emergency landing. Airman Wright, a native of Cookeville, Tenn., is deployed from Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Airman McNabb, a native of Newark, N.J., is deployed from McChord Air Force Base, Wash.
