Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Tech. Sgt. Matthew Massey holds a flashlight while Staff Sgt. Joshua Gill reseals a slide gland of a KC-135 Stratotanker boom October 27, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The KC-135 provides the core aerial refueling capability for the United States Air Force and also provides aerial refueling support to Navy, Marine Corps and allied nation aircraft operating in the Central Command area of responsibility. Sergeant Massey, a native of Wichita, Kan., and Sergeant Gill, a native of Fonda, N.Y., are both hydraulic technicians assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, deployed from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
