Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Staff Sgt. Gary Thomas and Senior Airman Evan Lawson, both assigned to Ground Radio in the 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron, set a box of wire and old components inside a van, October 25, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The Ground Radio shop is cleaning house as part of a move to a new building. Sergeant Thomas, a native of Lynn, Mass., is deployed from Pease Air National Guard Base, N.H., and Airman Hyatt, hailing from Woodbine, Ga., is deployed from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.
