Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Airman 1st Class Cody Hickman, 8th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron, carefully tightens each nut in place securing the wheel of a C-17 Globemaster III, October 23. The tire is the last step in the process of completing a brake change at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in the Central Command area of responsibility. Airman Hickman hails from Danbury, Texas, and is deployed from Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
