Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Staff Sgt. Elias Murawski, explosive ordinance disposal technician assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, and 1st Lt. Laura Hansen, Bravo Flight commander assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, discuss unexploded ordinance procedures to determine the best way to secure the area and dispose of unexploded ordinance during a base-wide defense response exercise Oct. 22, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. These members are responsible for ensuring that any explosive devices get disposed of properly without endangering the lives of other personnel. Sergeant Murawski, a native of Phoenix, Ariz., is deployed from MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., and Lieutenant Hansen, a native of Berkeley Heights, N.J., is deployed from Fairchild AFB, Wash.
