Tech Sgt. Vincent Bisignano, a laboratory technician assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Medical Group, uses a pipette to drop blood onto a reagent disc so it can be placed in a chemistry analyzer to check electrolytes Oct. 14, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The laboratory technicians here are responsible for pinpointing medical problems so personnel can be treated and returned to their units to continue fighting the global war on terrorism.
