Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Staff Sgt. Beth Sprowls, and Senior Airman Jerome Bryant, 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, toss C-Bags into a storage bin October 8, 2008. The C-bag contains sealed chemical gear, including overgarment suits, gloves, boots, gas mask canisters and M-291 decontamination kits. The bags are returned items from Airmen rotating back to home stations after completing their deployments. The bags are sorted by size and stored here at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Sergeant Sprowls, a native of Herrings, N.Y., and Airman Bryant, hailing from Little Rock, Ark., are both deployed from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
