Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Airman 1st Class Rilwan Baruwa gives a high toss of a C-Bag into a temporary box while Staff Sgt. Beth Sprowls and Airman 1st Class Charlton Ysip grab bags to add to the box October 8, 2008. All three are assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron supporting Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. The C-bag contains sealed chemical gear, including overgarment suits, gloves, boots, gas mask canisters and M-291 decontamination kits. The bags are returned items from Airmen rotating back to home stations after completing their deployments. The bags are sorted by size and stored here at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Sergeant Sprowls, a native of Herrings, N.Y., and Airman Baruwa, from Chicago Ill., are both deployed from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.
