Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Members of the 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron change a C-130J propeller Oct. 6, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Maintainers assigned to the EAMXS ensure aircraft are ready to fly Global War on Terror missions. The C-130 Hercules primarily performs the tactical portion of the airlift mission. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough, dirt strips and is the prime transport for air dropping troops and equipment into hostile areas in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
