Women in Panjshir teach Afghan cuisine
BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan – The Panjshir Director of Women’s Affairs, Miriam Panjshiri, and her sister, Nasrene, hosted the Panjshir Provincial Reconstruction Team Woman’s Affairs team for a time of fellowship and an Afghan cooking class Oct. 2. Staff Sgt. Michelle Cooper, Panjshir PRT services superintendent, helps Nasrene prepare the special meal. This day of fellowship was during Eid, the Festival of Fast-Breaking, held at the end of the month of Ramadan. It was a special honor for the PRT to be invited into an Afghan home during this important holiday traditionally reserved for family and close friends. (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt.
