Tech. Sgt. Shaun Carroll, 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, removes the bolts holding a flap to flap carriage Oct. 5, 2008. The crew is pulling the flaps from the B-1 Lancer in order to trouble shoot a flap lock-up problem at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The B-1 is often called upon to deliver precision weapons in support of ground troops engaged in Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
