Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa

Senior Airman Ashley Hanshaw, a postal clerk with the 379th Expeditionary Communications Squadron, receives a completed absentee ballot to be mailed October 3, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Absentee ballots are given top priority for mail processing during election season in order to provide the best chance to have votes count.
