Mentoring ANP
BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan – Senior Airman Andrew Kief, a Kapisa and Parwan Provincial Reconstruction Team security forces member, during this deployment, has taken on the responsibility of serving as a convoy commander at times. He also serves as a member of the PRT police technical assistance team where he helps coach, mentor and train ANP forces in security responsibilities to the citizens of Afghanistan. According to his PRT commander, Lt. Col. Bill Anderson, “I have got a young mentor out there, an airman’s rank, teaching the security force that is going to carry Afghanistan in the future. It is pretty remarkable.” Airman Kief is deployed from 56th Security Forces Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Keith Brown)
