Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Tech. Sgt. Chris Reiter and Airman 1st Class Ryan McMillen, 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 340th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, move an unserviceable brake unit from a KC-135 aircraft Sept. 28, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The brake set had to be replaced when a crack in the heat shield was detected during a post-flight inspection. Sergeant Reiter, a native of Farmington, N.M., is deployed from Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash. Airman McMillen, hailing from Warsaw, Ill., is deployed from McConnell AFB, Kan.
