Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Staff Sgt. Jeremy DuBose, kneeling on top of the fuel truck, and Staff Sgt. Sean Fishburne, holding the kill switch, both assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, test the high-level sensor in a fuel truck Sept. 22, 2008. The truck has been reported as having a problem with the sensor that cuts off the flow of fuel as it reaches a maximum height within the fuel tank at this undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. To check the sensor a set amount of fuel is pumped out of the truck, and then the automatic system pumps fuel in until the fuel reaches the sensor and automatically shuts off the flow of fuel into the tank. If the amount of fuel pumped out equals the amount pumped in before sensor shut off, the sensor is working properly. Sergeant DuBose is a native of Kingston Tenn., and deployed from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. Sergeant Fishburne hails from Charleston, S.C., and is deployed from Dover AFB, Del. Both are here in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Michael Boquette/Released)
