Initial Warning

Spc. Wayne Landry (front) and Sgt. Eric Simpson (back), both early system warning operators assigned to Delta 2.43, review training guides and input data into the force operations battery command post so they can complete their post deployment build 6 upgrade training Sept. 8, 2008. The Army Patriot battery is responsible for providing missile defense at this undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Specialist Landry, a native of Frederick, Md., and Sergeant Simpson, a native of San Francisco, Calif., are both deployed from Fort Bliss, Texas, in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
