Tech. Sgt. Phillip Daniels, jet engine mechanic assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron, files the fan blades of a C-17 engine to blend a chipped part to match the other blades Aug. 27, 2008 at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The C-17 is the U.S. Air Force's premier airlifter and is responsible for transporting equipment, supplies and personnel throughout the theater of operations, supporting Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
