Ready for Flight
Senior Airman Reilly White, a crew chief assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 34th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, marshals a B-1 Lancer from its parking spot Aug. 21, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. Prior to flight, crew chiefs inspect and perform various functional checks of the aircraft as well as ensure that the aircraft has been properly serviced with fuel, hydraulic fluid and liquid oxygen. B-1s assigned to the 379th are regularly called upon for precision air strikes in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
