BEE
SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Tech. Sgt. Christopher Hughes, 379th Expeditionary Medical Group bioenvironmental engineer, places bottles of water sample mixed with sodium thiosulfate into an incubator. The samples will be heated to 35 degrees Celsius for 24 hours to help BEEs identify the presence or absence of total coliforms. A secondary heterotrophic plate count is taken in correlation with the samples, which are incubated for 48 hours and allow BEEs to further speciate the samples and determine the exact type of bacteria.
